Vision Zero Documentary Series

Behind every statistic was a real person, real family, and real story. As the Creative Producer for Vision Zero’s documentary series, I managed the production of multiple short films designed to bring emotional awareness to roadway safety while supporting Nashville’s broader public education efforts.

Driving Impact

Numbers can tell us what is happening, but stories help us understand why it matters. For Vision Zero Nashville, I led the production of a documentary series that highlighted the real families and lives impacted by roadway fatalities, transforming statistics into stories that resonated with the community.

I managed the project from concept through delivery, coordinating production crews, filming schedules, stakeholder reviews, and final distribution across multiple platforms. These films became a key component of the city's public awareness efforts, helping educate residents while building support for Vision Zero's mission.

The series was later featured during a community screening event attended by local leaders, stakeholders, and the mayor, serving as the official launch of the initiative and demonstrating how powerful storytelling can drive meaningful public engagement.

More About My Role

  • Led end-to-end production of five documentary-style films, overseeing pre-production planning, location scouting, filming logistics, stakeholder coordination, post-production, and final delivery across multiple platforms.

  • Managed the project budget and cross-functional collaboration between city stakeholders, agency partners, production crews, and impacted families to keep the work aligned, authentic, and on schedule.

  • Served as the on-site production lead and main point of contact for participating families, ensuring they felt comfortable while the crew captured the interviews, footage, and deliverables needed for the campaign.

Unlocking Insights

  • Produced and launched 5 documentary-style films that became the cornerstone of Nashville's Vision Zero public awareness campaign.

  • Generated 350,000+ video views across social, digital, and partner channels, significantly expanding awareness of Vision Zero's mission and roadway safety initiatives.
